This maps categories to documented PFAS sources. It does not measure your personal exposure.

How we source this — and what we don’t claim

What does established / likely / limited mean?

Established = appears in EPA or ATSDR primary-source lists. Likely = supported by ≥2 peer-reviewed studies not yet in federal lists. Limited = single or emerging studies.

Where does the data come from?

EPA PFAS Strategic Roadmap (updated 2024), ATSDR ToxFAQs for PFAS (2023), EPA PFAS Action Plan (2024), peer-reviewed studies via PubMed cited inline.

Can this tell me my PFAS blood level or personal exposure?

No. This tool reports whether a product category is a documented PFAS source. It cannot measure personal exposure, blood levels, or health risk. For that, consult ATSDR’s PFAS exposure assessment resources or your physician.

How do I use this at the store?

Bookmark this page. When you’re shopping for cookware, furniture, cosmetics, or food packaging, re-check the category you’re about to buy to see if it’s a documented source and what the swap is.
